Virtual French Tutoring Program

Five free virtual French tutoring sessions for NB Anglophone school system students in grades 1–12.

Parents for Bilingual Education New Brunswick (PBENB), in collaboration with the New Brunswick Centre of Excellence for Language Learning, is proud to offer the 2025–2026 Virtual French Tutoring Program in partnership with Apprendre Franco-Fun.

This initiative provides five free online tutoring sessions for students in grades 1 through 12 enrolled in New Brunswick's anglophone school system, including students in French Immersion, the PIF program, and the English stream. The program aims to support students who would benefit from additional help in French by building their confidence, developing their language skills, and encouraging their success in a caring virtual environment.

To ensure equitable access across the province, available spots are distributed among school districts. A portion of the tutoring spots are reserved specifically for students in grades 6 to 8.

Once registered, families receive an email to schedule an initial assessment. Students then participate in five individual 25-minute virtual tutoring sessions tailored to their needs. Families wishing to continue beyond the free sessions can access additional tutoring at a reduced rate through PBENB.

Registration for the free tutoring sessions is currently closed. Families interested in paid tutoring options or upcoming program offerings are invited to contact info@pbenb.com for more information.

This program gives students the extra support they need to build confidence and thrive in French.
