These roles have been at the top of our advocacy priorities for our French Immersion and French as a Second Language learners who rely on consistent, specialized support to thrive.

The government’s commitment to expand onboarding, mentorship, and workplace improvements for staff is also an important step. Recruitment and retention challenges continue to affect every classroom and strengthened support for frontline staff directly benefits students.

We are encouraged to see the province recognize the growing gap between student needs and available resources. These types of investments in education staffing represent meaningful progress.

PBENB will continue to monitor how these commitments translate into real capacity in schools. French Immersion and FSL programs require sustained, targeted support to ensure students receive the high‑quality bilingual education New Brunswick is known for. We look forward to working with government, school districts and schools to ensure these investments reach classrooms quickly and effectively.
